Trained Red Cross volunteers are also helping families cope during this challenging time and replacing prescription medications, eyeglasses or critical medical equipment like canes and wheelchairs. Many shelters are serving as community hubs where people can come to get a hot meal and Red Cross assistance even if they are staying with friends and family. Working with partners, we have provided more than 255,000 meals and have served more than 10,800 households with more than 105,900 relief supplies in the affected communities. RED CROSS RESPONSE More than 1,400 trained Red Cross disaster workers have been deployed to impacted areas.
